I want to publicly apologize for a mistake I made a few days ago. I posted on my Etsy the barefoot sandals for sale without asking permission from the designer for it. I always ask permission to a designer when I'll sell something that is not my design but last week having migraines and asthma constantly it slipped from my mind to ask permission.
I, myself, am a designer and I know how it feels when someone post some of your own work without permission or without giving credit. I don't pretend to imitate anyone either. I think I have my own style and those of you that have my books can notice my tatting style.
Anyway, I already sent a short apologize to the designer and it won't happen again.
On another note... The Etsy shop is not doing well anyway so I will close it at the end of May. All the inventory on the shop, the sales will go completely to the LFA. I'll keep the free webshop.
Yep, another blog! But I solemnly promise you this will be only about tatting and nothing else. For my crazy stuff you'll have to go to my Multiply. :-)

When shuttles give you knots...

... make butterflies. :-) Since I finished yesterday the collar I have been looking what to tat next. But I guess I'm in one of those "twilight zones" and patterns are not cooperating with me. I managed to make a small snowflake from Jan Stawasz' book. I used DMC Cebelia #30 and it looks so different from the one in the book that is made with #10. It's too "picoty" for my taste. lol May be if I make the picots a little tinier...

Then I started a doily and was cupping and the stitches count was horribly off that I desisted in continuing with it. Then started another motif and also is cupping but I think I cn finish it. The thread finished from one of the shuttles. I guess is not a tatting day today. So I will rest for awhile from patterns. I'll dedicate the day to empty some shuttles and make butterflies with them. May be later I can tat something decent. :-)

Beautiful Words
May be you have heard me this week yapping about my pain. I have been having strong pain on the left hip bone. So strong that hubby have been giving me injections of Voltaren that doesn't help and I have been taking a "cocktail" of pills with no avail. But over all this I have been trying to tat. May be is the repetitive movement of the hands that numbs the pain or the gentleness of it that make my mind go away from the pain.I have made my homework this week and was showing Georgia and commented her that tatting is a therapy for me and she replied with some beautiful words that made me cry. May be is just me been over sensitive after so much painkillers but I love them and wanted to share them with you.
"Thank goodness for our tatting, who knows how many tears it has dried and how many hours it has kept us company."
Thanks to all my friends that worry about me, send me wishes of good will and encourage me to keep tatting!
